My husband sort after from me "Did you get bit by the decoration bug?" I told him I would been inspired by something I had read (your Fall Decorating Workshop). Until I took your program, my fall decorations consisted of a seasonal wreath hanging on my front door.

I discovered several things from your program:

1. I do not need to use orange and brown (they're not my favorite colors and that was the main reason I did not decorate my house for fall).

I chose to focus on the reds and golds which go better with my decor. I discovered a shimmery red fabric with gold leaves printed on it. I used this for your "simple holiday pillows" and to cover my end tables.

2. Use what you've.

I took a gorgeous crystal bud vase and place a candle in it. I would never thought of doing that prior to.

3. Decorating does not need to be hard.

I bought a number of fabric and covered my existing throw pillows. They look good.

I put candles in decorative glasses and poured in potpourri across the candles.

I bought a fabric tablecloth for the kitchen table. The added color brightens up the room.

4. Create a focal point.

I chose the peak of my piano in the family room and the fireplace mantle in the living room.
